A few quick answers for common fraction questions and the new options on this page.
Can I use mixed numbers like 2 and 3 over 5?
Yes. Put 2 in the whole box, 3 in the numerator box, and 5 in the denominator box.
The calculator also supports simple fractions, improper fractions, whole numbers, and decimals.
Can I convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions?
Yes. Open the Convert tab and choose either Mixed number to improper fraction
or Improper fraction to mixed number.
Can I type decimals?
Yes. The calculator accepts decimal values too, such as 0.5, 1.25, or 3.875.
You can also convert decimals into fractions.
Can I choose how the final answer is shown?
Yes. Depending on the mode, you can show the result as a simplified fraction only,
improper fraction only, mixed number, decimal,
or a combination such as fraction plus mixed number, or fraction plus decimal.
Can I compare two fractions?
Yes. Open the Compare tab, enter both values, and the calculator will show whether the left value
is greater than, less than, or equal to the right value.
Will it show steps?
Yes. This page uses the same step-by-step solving route as your main math app, so it explains the working instead of only showing a final answer.
